Depends on the date... and the pet. I'd be cool if a date brought a dog or something as long as it was semi appropriate... but then again.. I think dogs are the best creatures on earth.. so I'm biased

I think a dog date would be an excellent first date. Nice hike in the woods- little picnic, maybe some frisbee.
I think watching how someone treats their pet is a great way to see things about them it would otherwise take weeks to learn. For instance, my bf is really, really sweet to his cat. Too sweet, actually. She gets away with murder. This tells me that he might easily be taken advantage of, and I have to draw some of my own boundaries because he'll just give and give until he's exhausted.
