Under the darkened skies, we are nearly blind,
A man’s thoughts are reality’s only confines.
It’s in the expressions which we never give,
The lethargic interpretations of a day’s events,
A subtle, minute, signal that we legitimize our feelings.

We think ourselves hard-pressed and against the wall,
When we should stand back and observe it all.
In the disarray we seem to forget;
When it comes to matters of the heart,
There is a lot to be said for self-delusionment.
