makes me think of that comedy video where one of Hitler's speeches was dubbed with the story of someone getting tricked into a leasing-contract with a car dealership. the comedian had to retract it of course, but it was already out. I'd link the youtube video, but it is really only funny if you speak FLUENT german, otherwise it is just scary as hell.
I am very much German, also. My grandparents came from Germany. Actually, it was just my grandfather's side. He and his parents moved from Germany, and he was put in a foster home. He doesn't remember much about his mother, other than she was a dutchess. I have no idea what a dutchess is. (he was put in the foster home at a young age)
I can also speak very fluently, I occasionally watch Nightwash which is a German standup comedy show. And, well, I have friends who are from a part in Germany where a dialect is spoken, so a few of my words are different, as I speak a mix of a dialect... probably not the best thing for a college studying Germany
