| I'm a newb at working out. I've never been athletic, but as I was 21 years old and only 120 lbs, i decided I had to do something. I have a Pull-up bar, and I've been practicing on that, eating mroe, drinking protein shakes and the like.
Now 4 times a week I do pull-ups. (3 sets of 10 with wide-arm grip and 12 lbs of ankle weights)
(3 sets of 10 with wide-arm grip and no weights) and I do the final set to failure.
Then I do elevated feet push-ups in sets of 14 to failure, which is usually about 4 sets in combinaton w/ the pull-ups.
Sometimes I do tri-cep curls, but not often. I do sit ups on an exercise ball, and reverse crunches off the side of my bed.
on other days, I do squats, but i have VERY slight legs and I'm just starting so I can only do 50 lbs, but I hope to move up.
Overall, I have gained 15 lbs of what seems like pure muscle in 3 months, and I don't intende to stop any time soon. |
