BTW--there's actually an update to this story.

Kelly and I have talked briefly for the first time since all of this went down. Turns out she's got a pretty decent life going--proud of her for that.

Weird thing is, though, she has some serious relationship issues. Dating a guy she obviously is in love with, but doesn't want to commit (not to marriage, just to exclusivity) because she doesn't want to pass anything that might be out there. Apparently, this isn't the first time either...she's strung a lot of guys out this way, and I might be the only one she's been truly exclusive with (We were 19 and 17 when we broke up--we'll be 25 and 23 in a month).

The e-mails cut off after a certain point, but it's just strange to see. I feel bad for the state she's in, but obviously, there's nothing I can do.
