Most likely trying to keep her, in your mind. Knowing if she wanted she could probably just come right back since I get the vibe you would get back into the relationship with her...

Maybe she's being spiteful?

Maybe she is just using you as a "sure thing" if her future isn't looking so bright. Either way I would say run.... Believe me, I have been down this road.
