Hi, I have this dilemma and please help me overcome it.

I have been with this girl for almost half a year now. Right from the start she said that she doesn't want to start a relationship with me, but of course, I went ahead and hang with her for all these time. So it was like that we are dating, just no relationship.

Now, recently, she mentioned to me that she wants to meet new people and look for a guy to start relationship with. It really shocked me, I can hang out with her, be there for her, and I love seeing her happy, but I don't know if I can handle it when I do see her with another guy.

She said that I'm her best friend here and that we can rely on each other. And it is true that she is quite alone in here, I do feel that being a friend to her does mean something to her. But I'm starting to think this is too much for me. I want to start a committed relationship with her, and she only wants to keep me as her friend.

So guys and girls, I'm thinking about telling her that we shouldn't see each other anymore. What do you think and how I should do it?
