She's told me that cheerleading is something she's doing b/c some other girls want her to (to have someone who won't get kicked off perhaps?!?!!) and not because it's something she'd look into on her own. I mean i talked to her about it and she enjoys it but it wasn't something that she really wanted to do until she was bugged about joining....but i think that she should go for it and fun with it if that's what she enjoys.
ALL CHEERLEADERS ARE BASED ON MY LOCAL HS and im sure that this doesn't apply to everyone.
As for cheerleading around here....most guys either love em or hate em. For the most part, around here they're thought of as being really loud and incredibly annoying. The guys that love em like em usually for their looks since most are obsessed w/ the way they look. Most of them are incredibly STUPID also....I mean one has to have
at least a D- average to stay on the team and like all but 2 got kicked off last year.
Actually if you hit me on the back with a ball during a physical education lesson, chances are I'd not even turn around to see who hit me with it unless it was really hard, in which case I think I'd find it hard to smile. (I didn't notice it wasn't very hard lol)
GBRaul,
It wasn't during a lesson, it was when we were "practicing"

lol
I should've said that i "tossed" a ball @ her and it "tapped" her in the back lol
Just so you know, i wouldn't ever try to stop her from doing something that she loves...she doesn't deserve that.
LucidDream,
Perhaps she thinks that cheerleading is her way to become more popular (Im in the UK, so everything I hear about American Cheerleading has come from the media, so Im not entierly sure about the culture surrounding it).
She lived in England for 4 years. I told her that i don't want to be popular and she said that she didn't either....so i don't think that she's using cheerleading as a way to become popular.
I don't mean to critisize anyone, i'm just trying to clarify stuff.
