I'd say a combination. See, I joined in Jun 2004, but I really don't start posting regularly until like August, by then blue had been posting more than me and the regulars were familiar w/her. So I'd say a couple of months of regular posting makes you no longer a newbie.

Unless you compare it agianst the raverboy types that have been here multiple years and have multiple thousands of posts.
