yeah landlords suck sometimes.

i moved into this apartment one time that was ick. but i was in a sticky situation so i had to move in to this place. they gave me a BIG discount on rent and i'm a handy girl so i took initiative and started fixing this place up. i had them put new carpet, new appliances, you know, the shit that gets old and nasty after a while right? all was cool until the landlord sold the building to someone else and that person saw that my apartment was nicer than the rest and that i was paying the least rent. meanwhile the people that had moved into the apartment below me were very loud, very annoying, and probably had some narcotic addiction beyond their alcoholism. so i called the new landlord and told them that nobody was going to stay in any apartment surrounding theirs for very long. well once i told them i was moving out that's when they decided to kick out those people too. HE WANTED BOTH OF US EVICTED! oh my goodness was i ever frustrated.

i would like nothing better than to never pay another month's rent. i had so hoped we would have gotten that house for this very reason. it just sucks that people pay a bunch of money into someone else's mortgage or other income and they have the power whether or not to be a slumlord.
