It depends,on a LOT of things.Who you're in a relationship with,whether or not they/you want to have sex,if you're virgins,if you're already having sex with the other person and the list goes on etc.Its as much of a big deal as you choose to make it.I find sex quite important coz to me its a physical expression of how much i love him, I'm one of these "making love" people,and its also just about as close as I can really get to my man.If one partner withholds sex there's a problem as they're obviously upset or something is bothering them.
To be honest I think sex is what you make of it but if you're afraid to be that intimate with someone (unless of course you have religious beliefs or personal/moral issues with sex) then there could be a problem.
