That's a good start, Chlorine.
What I do, is I tell myself that I don't need the person and that I am better off without them (which is always true). I just kinda shrug my shoulders, throw all reminders of them out or give it away and then focus on forgetting them. Then, once I am content, I move on. I usually start out by hating the person but eventually I just forget they ever existed. It doesn't really take me long since I get over people easily. I don't know if this is the best way to go about things but I never regret anything this way except wasting my time with the person in the first place. I never regret breaking up with people. I've never been broken up with. I always do the leaving. lol I don't put up with bull shit. And if I do, I don't for very long. I move on. Finding someone new may seem like a hard thing to do but it's not. Just make yourself available in a good way. After I broke up with my last ex, I went on a few dates and looked around. I am still looking but I have a date for next week. I am taking my time so I don't make the same mistakes again. No use rushing things. I am young and have years to make a decision. I just went off on a big tangent. Sorry.
