...i went on a ride along with a police officer recently... cops have to drive, read, and type on their little computers at the same time. the woman i was with would write in some crazy shorthand along with all their numbers and codes.

but i am kind of a speed typer so it would probably take me longer to come up with some shorthand version of things than it would to just type it out.

...and it completely distracted me from the actual message.
