You need some space from him. And no, you're probably not overreading him, but of course guys will always say you are. I mean, you've been happy with him before right? And you've been at a point where you felt he didn't do "anything wrong", right? Space is awesome. Make yourself busy. Don't call him. Your dad is probably right he needs to grow up.
