View Full Version : The meaning of life: Sex vs. God

I want everyone's opinion on this.

Every time I'm single I go through the same argument with myself:

"You idiot you f*d up AGAIN now we won't have sex for god knows how long!"
"Pft, that girl was toxic. It wasn't worth it. We can do better, look how hot these russian porn girls are, and they're probably everywhere! Just memorize some openers, beat your anxiety into submission and approach them."
"Both of you have no idea what you're talking about. Haven't you had enough pink to realize how futile it is? What about enlightenment, have we given up on that?"
"But what about beauty?"
"What about love?"
"Yeah, you're right, no beauty or love to be gained by merging with the infinite godhead or finding a cure for alzheimers, nope, we better keep chasing tail."
"...":annoyed:
"God better smell like ****ing vanilla."

And taste like champagne. Can I get some thoughts on what I want? Otherwise I may spend the next few months peacocking myself and keeping a PUA blog.

I chose to do this first. Though once realizing how incredibly simple it is, wished I had spent the time on something more noble.

Pffft welcome to the club.

I don't know what you want. Probably sex and a lot of it from the sounds of things. And love too

You can do research (aka on alzheimers or whatever other example you have) and still have sex if you're a ladies man. I know a lot of kids who are highly involved in things like that but have girlfriends. You don't have to sacrifice one for the other if you play things right (well isn't that key!)

Maybe you have really high standards and want to love and fall in love with a hot girl, but in college A) a lot of hot girls want to have promiscuous sex, and B) hot girls are (stereotype here) less committing than their uglier counterparts (or harder to get :) )

"Pink" is something you will never give up on. Which sucks. If sex is ANYTHING like a drug the more you have it the more you want it. And unfortunately, even without it you want it. Look at me, every morning and night I'm tormented by feelings of guilt and anxiety because I'm 18.5 years old and can't get any type of relationship with a female for the life of me, and luck has nothing to do with it. I'm literally being FORCED to make sure I make a lot of money so that in another 7.5 years I'll make enough money to change something. So when you talk about stuff feeling futile, I feel like everything in my life is futile if it doesn't help me make money

I don't think it's a matter of sex vs. God. God probably has sex all the time with amazingly hot women who us mere mortals couldn't even comprehend their level of sexiness.

I hate seeing a thread, post, or anything that has the words sex and god in the same sentence.

What about if the sentence is about ****ing god up the ass?

Quit fighting yourself. These things are not at odds- you make it this way. Go fall in love with someone and you'll find out what I mean.

Okay well then off to read more of Neil Strauss' myspace blog.

Oh, Jeeze. Do you actually need that? I don't buy it...

I was skeptical at first but there is a logic to the "game" that is undeniable... and you can't argue with results. I'm starting to think the most successful of them are professional illusionists/street performers... but what is it about David Blaine that gets you so wet, Giga? I think that question is what their community is trying to answer.

I am also rather surprised you'd fall for that, donut. You didn't strike me as the type.

Don't do that Donut!!

There was this kid in my high school who was part of that pick-up community thing. That kid ended up being really ****ing weird, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up becoming a rapist or something. His ex-girlfriend actually had to get a restraining order against him. He has some serious psychological problems. Obviously he had to have a few loose screws to begin with, but his viewing women as objects of manipulation and in such a depersonalized fashion was seriously scary

I think it takes a special sort of person to be attracted to that crap. Also, a special sort of person to fall for it.

That's not me, that's 'sombra. I don't generally go for clowns.

You don't know anything about any results. How many of these pick ups have you seen happen in front of your eyes? I have not once. I mean, it would be more convincing if I saw some dude pull this shit off right in front of me while I am at Applebee's or something... but no. I thinking they are conning people and fooling people, the readers them self. Girls like a nice smile and eye contact. Confidence was never a big secret in the first place...but confidence you cannot learn, only earn.

These "pickups" do happen and do work a lot of the time, OV.

After you get to the root of every system though, you find that success ultimately lies in that not-so-big secret you mentioned...confidence.

So there is no secret "game" ...the only difference between someone who plays "the game" and someone who doesn't is that the one who does takes the risk to approach...I would assume anyone after a few rejections would eventually run into someone who would reply positively. I mean women want sex to sometimes you know?

Like I said, you can't teach confidence.

No, I don't know OV. Women have too high standards

Okay first of all let us remember that I was the first to poke fun at the Strauss manifesto. But his subject matter was engaging so I read on. Basically all these guys are doing is pumping themselves up for a rehearsed live performance - memorizing interesting anecdotes to break the ice and trying to control body language, tonality, attitude etc.

And yes, you can see live demos, try youtube. The "game" is not just probability, you can't just approach women, say "hi", fidget, ask her what her major is and then expect a blowjob 1 in 10. I liked this parable:

Imagine you are approaching a woman from some "tribe" who wants a man who is either from her tribe or from a tribe she wants to join or visit. Most women want to at least visit the rockstar tribe, most don't care much for the oversized khaki shorts and jersey tribe. The community (just keeping it cultish for effect here kids) is simply determining ways to elevate yourself in the tribal hierarchy.

Are we forgetting that these same ideas form the basis of our very own beloved psycho-manipulative technique here at the forum? Oh yes, the oft-cited, oft-successful (living proof right here), "NO-CONTACT RULE."

Do you get it now?

Actually from what the women on loveforum said is that they like to try the entire buffet.

This is supposed to be the basis of it. "Confidence" follows as a result of success "in the field."

In my opinion, I didn't find true confidence until I left the game behind.

I don't consider the "no contact rule" to be a manipulation technique - I consider it a self-preservation technique.

Also, I think that many of the men in the khaki tribe are the ones a girl marries (if what I see in my neighborhood is representative of that tribe).

Yup. I did. Then I left that tribe, never to return. Now I'm associated with the Metrosexual Tribe. Better grooming.

And I agree with Sphinx and bodo about confidence- The Game isn't about confidence. It's about the appearance of confidence. Totally different thing.
