oh my, he's getting agitated..
but seriously, the point is that if a girl is flirting she'll play along, laugh at your jokes even if she doesn't find them funny, etc. She choses to do so because she wants you to feel good about your joking abilities. She could just as easily choose to ignore you if she wanted, and of course so could you. So insisting that you are 'in control' in that sense is just idiotic.
