i wouldn't call it a problem, it's more of a 2nd opinion... i hear a lot that making a girl your friend can put you on into an "un-datable" category and i was looking for more takes on the thought. I figured you should be friends with your lover at least a little. so when i was told that making a girl your friend before dating her was a risk i looked for other people's takes on it.
If your ready to make the transition, I say just go for it,
you never know how it'll turn out for both sides.
It takes some guts to truly express how you feel about the opposite
sex without showing that all you want to be is a friend.
it was stated in the "just a nice guy" videos and i know the feeling. it's not telling someone that you like them because your afraid that it will make things awkward. jumping that hurdle was hard... i found now a days there are girls out there that believe that guys are only friends with girls to "get closer" to them... but i jumped that hurdle, and so far i haven't killed any friendships with it.
