I'm sore, sore, sore. OMG, you said he's a powerlifter? You're not doing the same workout he is, are you? Wouldn't that be a bit much for you, a beginner? | |

I can't lift as much as he can or anything, the weights are scaled down, but I try to go for as many reps as him.

| | | I haven't formally worked out since maybe April. It might be March though.
My week generally involves 3-5 days of rock or ice climbing, including approaches and heavy packs. My work week involves riding a very heavy bicycle for between 4 and 12 hours, about 4 days a week.
I'm in better shape now, just because of my lifestyle, than I was when I was racing Ironman or doing 50 bike races a year.

| | | I was working out at a gym for a while but once I got my body where I wanted it I quit. It just sort of stays in shape now on its own as long as I eat lots of sh*t.

| | | The best workout is being compiting on something:
-Dance
-Weight lifting
-Sports
-Whatever
Compete gives motivation to stay in good shape, because you have to keep it.
For example:
I'm a swimmer, I don't workout to be good looking physically, I just want to win, and that makes me workout hard everyday.

| | | My workouts involve martial arts, reading, developing myself as a person, and having the integrity to not feel the need to brag on a forum about all the heavy things I lift. Seriously, does anyone actually care about anyone else's workout routine? | |

Seriously, does anyone actually care about anyone else's workout routine? Oh I don't know, maybe the guy who made the thread "Post your workout routine"?
And I'm glad you have the integrity to not feel the need to brag on a forum about all the heavy things you lift, but I just wish you'd have the integrity not to brag about having the integrity to not feel the need to brag on a forum about all the heavy things you lift.

| | | I wasn't bragging. I don't think I'm anything special just because I don't make stupid threads. I just thought it was a little weird to have a discussion about how many situps you do, or how many reps on a dumbell. I might as well make a thread about the order in which I wash myself in the shower.
