you're being closed minded to the differences here. you go on and on about africa and these third world countries, but along with these uncircumcision processes, some of them also believe in non monagamous marriages. yes, one wife and many men. it's also funny because these other men are the husbands brothers, yes they all share one wife in the family. weird huh?
it's something that we wouldn't agree too. i know you wouldn't wanna share your bf and his brothers or father for that matter, yet things are different all around the world. what is crazy to you is perfectly fine for the next person.

vash: from what I read types 1 and 2 female circumcision mostly do not remove the entire clit, and the females are still able to orgasm, just need more stim. That could be the misunderstanding here. Anyway, you're right we've pretty much said everything that can be said on this theme. also; I did not mean to accuse you of 'drawing it out', actually, I can't help but argue back even when I said I wouldn't. so yeah, let's call it a day.

I believe the equivelent would be removal of the clitoral hood, not the clitoris.
And I still feel to compare the two is a gross absurdity. There is NO medical benefit to female circumcision, and even if you don't think the benefits are significant, ther ARE medical benefits to male circumcision.
Anyway, I don't think calling circumcision a "human rights violation" is appropriate when this thread is about a kid who may very well need one.

yes, the most common variant of female circumcision is removal of the hood! at least, that is what I have read, and considering that research shows that circumcised women in africa can largely reach orgasm, I would assume this is true.
I said circumcision done routinely at birth and therefore without consent is a human rights violation. That has NO bearing on this situation.
If I had to have a finger amputated because it was damaged beyond repair, I would not be at all offended by someone pointing out that if my parents had snipped off that finger when I was a child, without consent, and when the finger was not yet causing me any problems, that would be a violation. That's not the same as me giving consent and having had the use of my finger all my life up to that point.
pft, he wont need to be cut, and doctors in the UK will likely emphasise the importance of minimising any required surgery. I know someone who had this phimosis (spelling?) thing, and I believe they got a cut along the foreskin, not removing anything, and i'm told the doctor was very aware of the importance of keeping it as intact as possible.
