A Green Rumour

I heard from a website explaing the effects of colours that the colour green can improve your vison, and if you read a book with green transparent material over it, it will increase reading speed and comprehension.

What do you think of this statement?

It is not my favourite color. But I see digitalpoint forum uses green color and it is such a hit. Also I think it strains eye less. Thats my view thoughh.
