The SMB3 video has been disproved. He used an emulator to constantly save and go back everywhere he failed to the exact point, and then saved the entire video as one file. It was also sped up a small amount to increase the time. Some of his actual motions are waaay too fast for the actual game speed.
There are a couple other videos out there where they did the same thing.
Put a guy in front of a computer screen and show me the video real time WITH the guy actually there playing it - then I will buy it.
