"Oh...well then I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor..." When did I say that saying any of this was a horrible thing that should be rectified? Approximately... never. =) Simply because I go into specifics on why a joke is stupid to me rather then funny doesn't mean that I'm not understanding the concept. Am I supposed to be dumb, give a plain "lol tht wus funi" and go on my merry way? I thought I was being at least slightly clever, thank you. But then again, there's a reason for all those "dumb male" jokes. =) After all, parody is funny. Playing on small details that could be considered stereotypes is funny--that's what you're saying, right? So it's all the same to say that men are stupid dogs, because that's where all the jokes go. And that's funny too, right? =)
I've been interacting with gamers and other computer science students too often. I'm being reminded of exactly why I tend to avoid the general community. Expecting me to conform to the "normal person" framework is not exactly going to work well. And if you find that annoying or frustrating, I suggest avoiding me in the future, as I may actually do the same for you. =) My goal, after all, is not to frustrate people--simply to state my opinion on various aspects of love and human behavior. That's what this forum is for, isn't it?

That's what this forum is for, isn't it? Many posters are annoyed by other posters. The general agreement is that they have little spats and then just agree to disagree and go about their business. The most successful are quite slippery and good at deflecting attack.
Don't take anything personally.

Oy, I just don't find things like this at all funny, thank you very much. Nor any joke that pokes at a woman having her place.
Smile, pussycat…
There’s also a video there titled “how to be the perfect boyfriend”
There are also several videos there poking fun at things from first dates to marriage.
So don’t get your feminist knickers in a knot, it’s not all just about women.

Once again, I'll reiterate:
You seem to be sore about more things than just videogames.
If you find the statement "men are stupid dogs", funny; by all means post it in your own thread, but I'd appreciate it if you stopped treading on mine.

She doesn't seem to get that it's poking fun at men.

| | | Ugh. As I've said, I'm a nineteen-year-old computer science student. Don't expect me to completely understand the jokes of an old man. "Men are stupid dogs" was me poking at you. Even if I did post it, I wouldn't put it in a decently serious forum section. I commented. I'd appreciate it if you'd stop treading on /me/, or at least making me feel as if you are. And it does actually strike me as exaggerating men's /wants/--see television. The sex parts in particular--a lot of guys here (or at least a vocal few) seem to think that a relationship without sex isn't a very functional one, or at least assume that if you mention dating someone, especially for a year or so, there is automatically omgsex. I tell guys in the game I play that my last relationship lasted about a year and a half. Then they find out that I'm a virgin, and their reaction is very much in the WTF category. I can laugh at faults in my wants or expectations, but not at what hits so close to what some people seem to expect from me.
I think I'm just going to leave this thread alone. Which is disappointing, because I usually love reading everything new on a forum...

| | | what does being a computer science student have to do with anything? you keep going on and on about it.
I'm sorry, but I can already see why you're not liked.

1. look your best at all times.

2. stroke his ego
does "I love your cock?" count?
3. let him prowl
for 4 to 6 months at a time, only.
4. never run out of beer
he doesn't really drink and neither do I so.. pass.
5. give him the remote
whoever's country we're in gets the remote.
6. be wild in the bedroom.
no comment
7. laugh at his jokes

I think on the curriculum there should also be:
- How to always make sense
- How to never display feelings that can not be understood
- How to never be moody
