I think what you have to do is give it a shot. Try a relationship with a guy and see if you like it. If you feel uncomfortable, then give it up and keep on keepin' on with the ladies.

I'm sorry to hear what you all went thru as a child.....

I know two men (who are friends)....who were sexually abused as a child...

One friend got molested by his older brother.... It happened for many yrs.. He tried to tell someone about it....but no one believed him. Plus his brother threatened to make life hell for him if he did. His brother was favored in the family...
He went on to be straight....got married.....had kids.....and then realized later on....that he had feelings for men. Well he ended up getting divorced and then basically leading that lifestyle.....while still maintaining a friendship with his ex wife and being the best dad possible to his kids.

Another friend was molested by a neighborhood girl (who was older) and he ended up being completely turned off to liking women in a sexual way. He is now openly gay....but happy.

I've noticed that people who were abused as children....tend to either....accept it as the norm........or.......completely be turned off by it.

My advice to you.....is to explore these thoughts. I mean.....what if..later on in life (after marriage or kids) you find yourself wanting to find out if you truly are into men or not? You don't want to have feelings of regret for not finding out sooner. Plus think of the people you may hurt in the process.

I have been single for quite some time too. It does get very lonely....but I usually fill my time with other things. But honestly...I would never consider being with a woman. But im glad ppl are becoming more "equal" now ... i tell ya , in HS i had friends but they were mostly "props" friends ... like hallway friends ... because once i hanged out with them ... either i was too serious and thought i wasnt fun because i wasnt acting like a raging ass hole ... or i thought they were too stupid . So i ended up hanging out with ppl that were 3-4 years older than me .
