| | | For the females (mostly): Different Types of Orgasm? So, my girlfriend tells me that for her, there's 2 different kinds of orgasm that she can achieve.
One is "fast and intense". Where I go at her like a crazed animal.
The other she describes as "slow and relaxed", and whenever she thinks she's gonna come, she doesn't, but it "raises the overall intensity" of the final orgasm. Obviously this is when I take my time and switch things up on her.
She describes the difference being, with the first, she's really tense up until the release, and the second, she's really relaxed up until climax.
So I was just wondering if any of the females in here are familiar with what she's described. Or if there's more?

| | | yup, definitely, though I haven't experienced it exactly like that. I bet it's different among women.
I don't think these are "types" or orgasms as in there's these two solid categories and an orgasm is either clearly the one or the other. It's more like a gradient. Like, it's not a different make of car just because you can drive the same car differently. But that's a word-choice technicality, heh.
I think there's definitely more. The mythical g-spot orgasm, for instance. And yes damnit, it does exist.

| | Even though I did kinda squirt one time.. I'm hardly experienced enough to be schoolin' anyone on it. Better listen to these episodes of SiF;
this episode covers;
Female G-Spot
-where it is
-why it's there: reference Sex, Time and Power by Leonard Shlain
-how we learned about the g-spot
-Lorax tells us the best sex toy to stimulate the g-spot
-why we want to find the g-spot
-what is the ejaculation and where does it come from
-how to find the g-spot and ways to stimulate it
(skip the disclaimer and small talk at the beginning) http://cdn4.libsyn.com/sexisfun/femalegspot.mp3
and this episode, which is an interview with the author of a book on female ejaculation.
"In recent years the role of the G-spot in giving a woman intense pleasure has become widely accepted. Equally powerful is the capacity of the G-spot ejaculate. Moving from an account of what scientists think female ejaculate is, Deborah Sundahl provides a practical how-to guide for women and their partners."
(um.. skip past the somewhat graphic toy reviews on this one..) http://cdn2.libsyn.com/sexisfun/82Fe...tate_Gland.mp3

| | | Medically speaking, the existence of a G-spot is still a myth. No scientific studies can determine its existence.
I agree with Tiay about the gradient (intensity). Sometimes, despite the build-up, the orgasm is almost non-existent, and sometimes it is overwhelmingly, deliciously powerful. I don't know why.

But, people clearly get off from it in a different way, and supposedly they've shown that female ejaculate, ie squirt, is not urine. *shrug* the show is worth a listen anyhoo.

| | | yeah and medically women didnt have a prostate till the 1980's i think each person is built different and considering only 30% or so of women can have a vaginal orgasm we cant dismiss anything in which a person can or can not experience | |

| | | You mean the Skene's glands? I thought they were tied to female ejaculate.

| | | the thing about women is that we can cum a lot of times during sex. one orgasm is just the beginning. after that they just get more and more intense. that's why it's so good to learn how to sustain yourself. like, not cum so fast. you can't assume that once a woman has an orgasm that's it. that's how it works for guys, that's not how it works for girls.

| | | We've tried getting her to have more than one orgasm, but the 2nd go 'round, she just wouldn't cum.
We'll figure it out eventually.
I'm dedicated to the cause.

| | | When I was first starting out, I couldn't orgasm more than once, either. Takes practice. I'm glad you're committed to this, Fras.

| | | Not for me. There's a good reason I want sex all the time.
