I wasn't really sure where to put this, but it somewhat fits here so yeah. Ok, well I'm 17 and up until recently I've never really been close with a girl (guessing that you're all thinking there has to be a physical reason for that right? I guess I don't really care about anyone's prejudices so you can think what you want). Aaaaanyway... whenever we are close or hug for a while or kiss I get an erection. How normal is that? Is it perhaps just because I'm new to it or what? I'm sure that it's a stupid question, but I really needed to ask it. Thanks

I can take this one. I'd say that's perfectly normal. It's all about how easily excitable you are. Me for instance, I get an erection for little or no reason. It can actually be really irritating. In class, at work, driving, no reason. I'm not even thinking about sex, it just happens. Being close to a girl physically turns you on enough to get an erection, no shame in that. Perfectly normal.

Want some primo advice?

When your making out with her and you've got a stiffer, just watch that her leg isn't moving around too much on you- at your age, you may end up releasing right in your jeans- which is messy and can be a tad embarrassing... er, not that that's ever happened to me..
