My first gf could only get off if she was ontop (or faced down). So while she enjoyed other positions, I always knew she was only going to cum if she was on top.
The second girl I was ever with enjoyed alot of positions...she was more experienced though and so for her she prefered being approached from the rear (not in the rear!).
One girl I've been with LOVED the deep peneration of doggy and the couldnt/wouldn't even try that position.
Two consistencies I've found with sex with different partners...1) The position every girl has "insisted" upon is missionary - my guess is it's an easy way to start off and it's also more "emotional". 2) Trying lots of positions is also always been a must.
