Intimacy is a connection...a higher level of communicating, often
with out even speaking. And I agree totally, intimacy turns plain
old sex into lovemaking which is so much more enjoyable.
And here's a thought for those who disagree...you can have sex with
someone, or you can pleasure yourself, and have the same ho-hum result.
But add intimacy and it becomes an experience to remember.

As far as waiting goes... respect her for what she has chosen to do. It is
a value of hers, the point being she holds values. And when she does marry
someone she will value the relationship as well.
And just because she is waiting does not mean she is a cold fish. You can usually tell...she will get just as turned on (maybe even more) just like any other woman would.
I once knew a girl like this, and let me tell you how hard it was for her to control herself. We would be "intimate" with each other, and I could tell by her heavy breathing and rocking and rolling that she was very turned on.
Looking back now I wish I waited for her instead of giving up and going for the easier target....she was so worth it.
And thats the other thing about intimacy. You remember those experiences
