Hello all, I've posted a few times and just wanted to say hello. I am a girl (woman) 38-year old and just recovered from a horrible break-up! I AM ME AGAIN! What a feeling. I am here to give support to people same way they supported me and I am not looking for love right now!

I hope this is one of those forums where usual suspects keep on coming back.

We have our share of "regulars" of various ages. It takes a while to understand all their quirks, but they are nice people. Hope you like it here...

You know that hackneyed phrase "Life begins at 40"? Well, it's true. I spend much more time looking forward than looking back.

And you're kind of a late bloomer, OV. You're going to be in your prime when you're 40. It won't feel like anything is nearly over.

At 40 my dad already had a entire mouth full of fake teeth and 3 operations, runs in the family...both of my grandfathers I never met cause they died during mid 40's...runs in the family lol...I don't have long left but I don't mind for some reason...at that age the girls aren't exactly stunning anyways.

How come everyone keeps saying that I am a late bloomer?! not just here...I mean in real life too...makes no sense to me. Can tell that even over the internet? What the hell...that annoys me.

It annoys you that you're a late bloomer or that people can tell? There's nothing wrong with it- I think it's a good thing. It means you weren't trying to act like an adult at 14 and screwing up your life royally.

It annoys me that people can tell with out being able to tell. Why am I a late bloomer? because I am single? everyguy that is single at 24 is a late bloomer? I guess I just don't like that fact that I just don't get it lol.

PS: You can't stun me, I have rubber shoes...I am not grounded.
