"The Shy Guy" pretty much sums up my non-existent love life as it's been so far in my 25 (God, almost 26) years here on Earth. Alternative titles might be "The Overweight, Shy Guy", or "The Overweight, Nerdy, Shy Guy", or "The Overweight, Nerdy, Shy Guy Who Women Prefer to Just Be Friends With".

Yeah, I'm that guy. I've never had a girlfriend so there ain't much I can tell you about love or relationships other than, when your out of it, it sure does seem like everyone is in it (although I do know a thing or two about loneliness).

I've read tons of stuff by lots of authors that tell me tons of different things, and I've learned a lot and, I feel, I've come quite a way from where I started. I'm no longer depressed about the whole thing and I generally feel good about who I am. Mostly, I'm here trying to break that glass ceiling I've been living under.

You need a life makeover. It sounds like you're really comfortable just being the Shy Nerdy Bla Bla Bla Guy. I'm not saying YOU have to change, but I think your life might. Ther nerdy and overweight parts aren't as damaging to your potential as the shy part. Cute guys can get away with shy. You can't.

What do you do for a living, remrem? I was very shy and now I'm very extroverted. I became a salesman on commission. I wanted money, so I was forced to do away with my bashful nature. Greed worked better than any magic pill or sage advice I ever got.
