    Hmm.. what to say?

My name is Kari, and I'm a 19-year-old college student. I am double majoring in Studio Art and History of Art and Architecture, and hope to someday work as a museum curator. Contrary to popular belief, that doesn't make me a book worm. Quite the opposite. While I'm not a party girl, I do enjoy being social. I have a passion for theater and filmmaking in my spare time; I write poetry, fiction, and screenplays; I enjoy teaching and like kids. I know, not very exciting, but I like being me. I'm very open minded and love meeting new people!
I guess that's pretty much me!

I might try alcohol someday, but as a rule I plan to steer clear of it. Family issues and such... My boyfriend's Irish. I'm sure he can fill my quota!

    Kari, welcome.

You know, I have a great ambition to know it all. Obviously it's impossible. But you try to take in all you can with the different people you meet and I'm glad you're here because the arts is an area of interest to me where I'm very weak in. Maybe I'll pay attention to your perspective on things. I think I'm an artist at heart but I grew up being as good a boy as I could be and I exploited my math abilities and became an engineer, which is the opposite of an artist. Go figure.

Welcome! I hope to learn from you.

Hahaha! Well if it makes you feel any better, I wish I was better at math. I'm actually going through a huge struggle in school right now because of it. I took the placement test before I could register for classes, and scored very low on the math section. At this point I'm placed about 8 courses BELOW college level algebra. I normally wouldn't have an issue working up to it, but I was hoping to transfer to another school next year, and their transfer requirements include one year of college level math or higher. So, as you can see, I'm screwed! LOL!

Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome! I have no idea what you could learn from me, but I'll try to come across as knowledgable.... "Try" being the opperative word...

    Welcome!

Err...so you're 19 and you don't like partying? I'm majoring in economics but I like art as well, I've been taking drawing lessons at an art studio for a couple years. But I LOVE partying.

I could tutor you in math if you lived anywhere around Denver. Triginometry, algerbra, econometrics, statistics...you name it!

So what do you do instead of partying?.. Does your boyfriend like partying?
I have it all. Including kino.

Hahaha! Well sadly I DON'T live near Denver, but thank you for the kind offer! Instead of partying, I... I don't know. I stay home at night. I don't have a lot of friends, and too many people around at once is not a very comfortable situation for me unless I am in control of what is going on. I do what I want when I want to. I go crash the acting classes at the high school, or I go hang at Starbucks with my groupies (yes, I have groupies). I'm a fairly low-maintenance, laid back girl so I can pretty much keep myself entertained if need be. I read, work on my script, write poetry, rent movies... I hang with my family, believe it or not! LOL! And I have FUN doing it!

Does my boyfriend like partying? Not especially. He goes out to the pub with his buddies, but it's a small group. I tried to convince him to go to a 4th of July party at our friend's house, but he wouldn't go unless I was going. LOL!

My alternatives to alcohol are water and Root Beer. Or... a chocolate milkshake!

You know..you remind me of me. I didn't do nearly enough partying through college. It was pretty much books and family for me. I love my fam and we had good times, but I missed out on a big social aspect of life that I'm trying to make up for now.

    But that's another story.
    Freddie

ps. If you lived in southern New Mexico I could tutor you in math as well. I can teach math to a chimp! I like to teach, too. If my lifespan permits, I'll probably end up being a teacher of some sort before it's all said and done.

Well, PAGirl, I like hanging out with my family too, they're pretty chill actually. I love talking to my mom and stuff. I read a lot too (by the way I'm 19 too), and I love acting and writing poetry and scribbling in general...

I have a boyfriend of a year and a half but I LOVE partying! You shouldn't miss out! Who cares how many people there are around you, it's time to bust your ass and have some fun! You can't be in control of anyone or anything when you're partying and that's the whole beauty of it!

1st Shot (Tequila, vodka, or you name it):
It usually takes me about one shot to make friends with all of Mike's buddies and engage in deep conversations on matters of politics and philosophy!

    2nd Shot:
I'm best friends with their girlfriends too, by now.

    3rd Shot:
I'm dancing on the table (pool table, bar, you name it) already.

    4th shot:
I'm making out with Mike's buddies' girlfriends.

    5th shot:
Am wildly making out with Boyfriend.

    6th shot:
Outside heading towards the car, giving hearty hugs to random starngers.

    7th shot:
Hot, steamy action in bed with boyfriend, followed by morning hung-overs at University Park Cafe (they serve the best breakfast all day long).
I have it all. Including kino.

Hmm... Well in all honesty the party scene doesn't work for me because I have anxiety disorder. I literally freak out in large groups. On top of that, I like having control over my own body, so getting drunk doesn't sound like my style. LOL! Besides, I get great action in bed with my boyfriend with both of us sober, so I'm not worried about that area of life! I guess I'm just not a very social being. I personally don't feel like I'm missing out on anything by not going to parties and getting smashed. I know you're all gonna think I'm a punk for this, but A) I live at home, so that makes partying sort of a no-no, and B) I come from a very religious family that houses two pastors and an MK. I guess I just can't find a good reason to party hearty.

Sadly, I don't live in New Mexico either! LOL! But I think that says a lot for you that a chimp can learn from you! I've entertained the idea of being a teacher someday... *shrug* We'll see...
