As you can tell by the topic I need a girl! Well anyways let me tell you a little about myself first:

I am a 17 year old guy, brown hair, blue eyes, quite short. People tell me that I a a "nice guy" and I don't do anything like smoking, drugs (although i do take ritalin but thats not for enjoyment ), don't drink alot etc. I have been fairly socially withdrawn all my life but I have been coming out of my shell over the past few years when I switched school and have made some friends (most of them being girls) and heres where the problem is.

I have lots of friends who are girls but they never seem to want to be my girlfriend. I never treat girls like shit like alot of other guys do yet they seem to always get the girl. I treat girls with respect yet it never works. There has been one girl this year who I have really liked. We eat lunch together at school practically everyday and really click yet it is hard to read her. She seems to want to do stuff but she only wants to be friends. There is another girl I have just met (a cute Chinese girl with the most beautiful smile and laugh) yet I a afraid that it is just going to be the same and nothing will ever come of it. Help me! I feel so hopeless. What am I doing wrong with the ladies? Any help would be much appreciated

Just like to tell you that I know what your going through.
Im a year older than you, but still in your situation.
Unfortunatly, the fact that I am in this situation means that I dont have much advice for you.

Only thing I can think of is starting to make moves on the new girl before she becomes too much of a friend. I only fall for someone when I know them properly and am realy close too them, but by then I am too close and just become a best friend. So Im stuck. But you seam to have the hots for her already, so make your move! (after reading everyone elces advice 1st, lol)

welcome to the forums. You'll find your not alone with the problems of being a nice guy. Every female I know says that the one who loves me will be the luckiest girl around, yet i've been single 10 years because of it. Good thing i'm a patient guy.

it's funny because i have experimented a little with some girls i know. Just try to be a little keke or something and they seem to go right for it. but i don't want to be like this. i just wanna be me. why can't girls accept me??? So weird.

calm down killer.... it's not that you need a girl, you need to control your hormones.. try jacking off a couple of times and see if after you still desire a girl. usually after you release your tension, you should be good for a while. instead of urging to desire a girl, why not try going out and actually approaching one. talk to them at school, at work, at the mall, wherever you want to. you'll realize there are many of them out there. raverboy

Ravoerboy beat me to the punch. I was going to say the same. One is, who says you have to be with a girl? You may really, really want to be with a girl, so what are you doing about it? If you want to increase your chances you have to get out there. If you are really trying to be social and meeting girls, you are bound to find someone interested in you, so long as you keep trying. There's someone for everyone. You're going to strike out a few times, but you'll get hits every now and then. Homeruns may be rare, but if you don't step up to bat, you'll never hit the balls (no pun intended). And if you strike out too much, your aim is high. Do something to improve yourself or lower your standards.

And, yes, patience is a virtue.

Thanks guys! I am really trying and I'm sure I'll find somebody oneday but it is kind of frustrating when this time may not be sooner rather than later. I have alotta love to give someone and I'm sure I can make her smile
