Hey kids, nice to meet you.
New here, glad i found it . Seems like a good place to openly discuss situations about our "better halves".

I have been in a relationship with dear wifey for 6 years, have a wonderful 2 y.o. son, love them with all my heart.

My wife is going through an episode of depression, and it is taking a toll on me and our son . I am hoping that this forum will be a good venue to learn from others.

Thanks for reading.

Hey Snotty welcome to the forum! Not too many people here that are married. But Im sure some will offer some advice. Im not married, but I'll start with maybe comforting her and knowing her, understanding what it is exactly she is depressed about might be a start. Getting her to a counselor maybe, but helping her to make the right steps to get better might make the marriage stronger. Your son is 2? Could it be motherhood in itself? I have a 15 yr old, and wow, he can put a mental strain on me.

I dont know what to say other than trying to get her help, and support her through these times. Goodluck and welcome to the boards!

Hi - thanx for the replies.

Yes, part of the problem is motherhood. Our 2yo son is a handful, he destroys our house faster than we can fix it, gets into everything, etc. but we couldn't imagine life without him. I'm sure Mom is stressed from this, and yes drugs (prescription for depression and anxiety) are part of the equation as well.

Snotty??
