I'd say a combination. See, I joined in Jun 2004, but I really don't start posting regularly until like August, by then blue had been posting more than me and the regulars were familiar w/her. So I'd say a couple of months of regular posting makes you no longer a newbie.
Unless you compare it agianst the raverboy types that have been here multiple years and have multiple thousands of posts.
Bye the way, blue, did you see you've almost reached your 4-digit post milestone?? You'll have to keep your eye on it and make it a celebration..
