| | | Which avatar should I choose? Hello,
New here... have been looking around for a couple days and decided to join with the fun. What I really like about this forum is the lack of, so called, "trolls" here that you'd normally expect on a "love forum".
I didn't want to bother uploading an image somewhere, so I put the two avatars I'm trying to decide between one after the other. Which in your opinion looks better? (Yes, they are both bad, but at least it's an original way of introducing myself!)
Well it's way past midnight here and I need to wake up early tomorrow! | | Loveforum Breaktime | | | | Loveforum also recommend - Green tea - Help in weight loss and decrease rate of getting cancer.

| | | I am an aspiring troll. Nice to meet you. If you are male, then you should change that avatar because it screams GIRL. Have a nice day. | |

| | | A troll - as I understand it - is one who frequents forums and inflames people and starts fights. I don't think I technically would qualify as a troll because I am nice to smart people and kids. | |

| | | Oh we got some of them around here...
They're hiding though.
So you gotta be careful.
Right when you think you've made a friend...
BAM!
There's your troll.
Hi.
I'm Anthony.
Wanna be friends?

| | So if I'm male screaming female that is... not a good idea? Ok.. I'll change it later when I think of something.
And as for what an internet troll is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll
I have noticed some tendency to act like trolls from some poeple here, but it's probably just some recessive genes. Here... let's test Frasbee's ability to resist to trolling: Sure! Why not? (Bam or no bam? I bet bam!)

| | | This troll phenomenon.
Very interesting.
But when you really think about it.
Everybody here has had their fair share of "trolling".

| | | Yes, I've noticed. But they still share and try to help. They have a "soft side". They don't come here just for the pleasure of annoying people.
I changed the avatar to something that (I hope) doesn't scream girl. Maybe I should think of posting in other parts of this forum as well... hmmm....

Everybody here has had their fair share of "trolling". Damn! I guess by these standards I AM a troll: "challenging the dominant discourse and assumptions of forum discussions in an attempt to break the status quo of groupthink". Who knew?
I am wondering why this is BAD, though. Some of my more entertaining discussions have been with the resident troll on another forum I visit. Besides, groupthink is often understoood as a pejorative term meaning that one is sinking to the lowest common denominator.
groupthink n : decision making by a group (especially in a manner that discourages creativity or individual responsibility)
Oh well. I guess I am a fairly predictable troll. I challenge blatant stupidity.
