Misunderstanding or madness

Partner and I work in same building. Wanted break from work so I text partner if they want lunch given that it was 2pm. Went out of building, and said that I wasn't hungry.

She got angry because she wasn't hungry, but had said yes because she thought that I was hungry.

I told her that she should say what she wants, not what she thinks people want her to say.

She said that she didn't say no, because I would then say that I can wait for her, (as has happened many times in past). I didn't understand why that would be a bad thing, me just saying that I would wait for her if she wasn't hungry.

Basically, she wouldn't accept responsibility for the things she said, and tried to say that it was my fault because of my influence she said yes.

Now, am I mad, or is she mad, or are we both mad and wasting everyones time?

Now this is a stupid fight. Just be the bigger person and end it. There's no point in being mad at each other about something like this.

I say its more madness than misunderstanding. Why didn't you just say you wanted a break. Why would you even bring up eating lunch?

Tell her the truth about what you are wanting to do and you won't have to worry about it. You started the confusion.
