This was my poor attempt to creatively say that I'm moving on, and I'm happy about it. She can never come back, there is no 'going back'. Figuratively speaking. Now literally, I am not say she will never "return" to my life.
I know it sounds hopeless now that I've read it again, but it wasn't meant to be that way. A little play on words, I guess. Typing that post was a very positive thing for me. I was feeling great, just trying to be too fancy with the way I expressed it.
Anyway, I love who I've become because of this. No regrets.

| | | well I think it's very true.. Everything you go through in life makes you who you are. You have to experience loss to learn how to cope, and you have to experience pain to know how to mend. It's up to you to get back on your feet and keep moving forward by everything you learn!
I think your doing very Circle! and you still have a way to go but I'm proud of you!

By the way, thanks Rosebud. I came here when I needed help getting through a rough time. Between you and a handful of others, I found what I needed. The reality is that it had almost nothing to do with the girl. But everything all at the same time. I was on the right track before all this happened, but I was out of gas and didn't know how to keep going. Then she inadvertently ran me off the rails. You guys helped me get back on course, then gave me a little boost and a whole lot of direction. I wanna stick around here and hang out, it's fun. And I definitely feel like I have some "giving back" to do here.

No prob Circle! It's good that you realized all that and you don't have to thank us because it was you who realized it all and is now able to understand everything in a different light.

| | | My. Such a Christian ethic undercurrent in this thread. "Suffering leads to salvation" of one form or another. Interesting. Also interesting, I think:
Ever notice the parallels between a Christian ethic and a work ethic? Like: "Suffer in life, but love your enemies, and you'll go to Heaven after you die" versus "Work your ass off, but don't spend your money, save it, and, one day, you'll amount to something."

I think pain itself is a useful learning mechanism. Just like a child learns that falling down is bad through being physically hurt, we adults learn more about ourselves and our definition of compatibillity through emotional pain (Or trial and error). So I agree with Tone and his moobs on this one.
There's a quote I like to say:
"Your lifetime is not enough to learn through making mistakes, so learn from mistakes of others!"
