And shh!, I never refer to them as wife beaters. I was always taught by all my Italian buddies to call them, "Dego T's," I just didn't know if that slang would offend anybody here. It was only after I started hanging out with tons of Italians that I started wearing them too.

And yeah, "wifebeater" is an awful name for anything.

I think I have heard them called wife-beaters for most of my life, and even when I read the previous posts I didn't think twice about it because It's just what I'm used to hearing but I would agree that it's a horrible name!
