| | | | I think it depends on what their "shyness" is about. If it because of an inability to communicate well, then, look out.
Personally, I think that someone who is "real" is most desirable. Open, honest, communicative and empathic. Not too shy, but not loud and obnoxious either. Both can be signs of deep insecurities.

We were just discussing this in another thread (Hayward, Prodigal, Miso & I). If you can be "real" online, then why be "quiet" in "reallife"? Why deprive others of the experience of "you"? "You" seems to have a lot to offer.

I said "I'm not 'shy', but rather I'm 'quiet' around people I don't know."
Which means, once I get to know someone I am more open and whatnot.
You see me on here jokin around and goofin off, that's cause I know you guys now, thus the reason I'm no longer "quiet". So it's not that I'm quiet in real life and not online. I act the same way with my friends in real life that I do on here with my friends on the internet.

| | | | I mean sure we all act a lil different, since it's the internet.
I dunno about you guys - but I don't have random people comin up to me while I'm walkin down the street sayin "Hey I think this girl in my class likes me, what do you think I should do?"

| | | Whats the difference between shy as compared to quiet? I don't talk much not because I am nervous or shy but rather because I don't have shit to say.

| | | Then you're quiet. I would think shy is more when you're embarassed to say anything because of how people might think of you, or something along those lines. Quiet is when you just don't have anything to say. IMO. | |

| | | | Yeah, shy is you're embarrassed / feel uncomfortable around people, give quick responses to questions, don't make eye contact, etc.
Quiet just means, either you don't have shit to say, or you're just kinda more reserved (like me) around people you don't know. | | Loveforum Breaktime | | | | Loveforum also recommend - Green tea - Help in weight loss and decrease rate of getting cancer.
