Babysitters and dating?

If a guy asks a girl with kids out on a date, should he offer to pay for the babysitter?

I don't think you are obligated, but wow! That would sure impress! Just be careful of setting this up as an expectation, blackie.

I would really only consider doing this if you REALLY like a woman and she is having financial issues which would interfere with her ability to date you. Even then, I would only do this once in a while - certainly not often enough that you grow resentful.

Hmmm... good point. Don't want to set a precident that could become expensive.

I wouldn't do it. Remember, in the last thread you had a thing with smothering. Maybe that's not how women see it, but if I were a women, the first thing I'd think is "Damn! That ***** is after me!"

Nope, I don't think so. If you think money might be tight for her, then you might want to suggest dates that allow her to be at home (at home dates) instead of out all the time.

But no, I think that is for her to take care of, not you. At least at the very beginning.
