Here's the first thread:

So, I'm absolutely awesome at this game...

I'll update quickly. Went to the two parties the weekend before this most recent one, she was very hot/cold throughout. Was nearly going to dismiss it, but asked her out for this past weekend anyway, so we were set to go out Sunday.

But, there was yet another party on Saturday, and she was there. Everything went well, but I felt like I was being set up by my (and her) friends the whole time. At the end, we were parked in the same place (she rode with friends), so we all walked to the car, but her two friends bolted for the car and said goodbye quickly. So, apparently I'm taking Amanda home now.

We go back to her place, kiss for the first time and all that cute stuff. I leave at about 3, probably 30 minutes after I got there.

Fast forward to Sunday. I pick her up and we go downtown. Afterward, we have dinner and head back, where she asks if I want to hang out for a while. Fine. We actually have a fantastic time--she's funny, cute, extremely intelligent, pretty much everything that makes a very good first impression on me.

Things get pretty heated up...quickly. We're eventually in bed, I stop before we actually have sex, but everything but that happened. Surprising, but okay. She asks me if I want to stay over, which I do.

But after that is where I got freaked out. She goes to the bathroom to get ready for bed, but wouldn't most people get dressed first? Especially when we've known each other for two weeks? Same thing with the morning. I'm all for hot naked girls, but it was like we've been married for five years, and everything like that is comfortable.

Am I weird for thinking about that as strange? Should I just ignore it and move on? We're not even in a relationship at this point. Hell, I just went out with someone else last week (which is also a creepy situation, but that's another story entirely).

Maybe I'm trying to freak myself out again, but after the last girlfriend (who ended up totally crazy), I don't want to deal with that again.

I don't know...it obviously wasn't just that--it was a combination of things that led me to think she was way too comfortable this early--like we were married or something.

Yes, it's an issue. My fear of commitment knows no bounds--which the irony of me posting in a love forum is noted.

So where DO you want to go? From being single to being single again? Do you plan to go out and then drop her or do you plan to date her and see if it goes somewhere?

If it's the first I think your worry is justified. If it's the second, then you will need to re-evaluate your fear of commitment so it doesn't affect your future relationship.

Well, how will you get to that stage if you fear commitment? Isn't commitment the ultimate goal with the second?

Perhaps you are worrying of things moving too fast? If you are, put your mind at ease I don't think it's time to worry. It's a good sign actually, it means she is comfortable with you and things are looking up.
