Can't get a girl at 22

Some thoughts and advice would be much appreciated XD.

My problem is explanatory enough. I'm 22, and I haven't been in a relationship. And it's not like I haven't been trying too.

I have been going out on dates for the past few months. Usually the girl and I hit it off well, like each other enough to go out at least a second time, then it just stops. I suddenly lose interest in her after finding out about her more, then we just end up not seeing each other again.

It's been a long time (3 years) since I last went head over heels over someone. I like the ones I dated, but I've never felt anything deep for them. I'm starting to think that I'll never feel that way again, because all indications point to that. I'm just too guarded, and never let anyone close. When I go out with somebody, I find it hard to express who I really am.

Hey, what's up! Ok I know what's up here - ahah, I'm a guy myself and the same age as you too, this is my first post here.

I can actually relate to this man. We seem to have a similar kind of thing. I havn't got into a girl for ages, although I meet many and in that sense all is cool but sometimes it gets boring just doing random chicks! - Last time I was with a girl, one who I enjoyed and everything seemed really cool (until I messed it up) that was like 2 years ago and our relationship last for just under a year - Even to this day when I see or go with a girl, I get bored after like...4/5 days because then I keep thinking of the girl I really like who is...in the past I guess.

I don't know it is weird - sometimes I think maybe it was that girl that I was - (Anna) and I think maybe she was the right one for me but I ****ed it up...so I can't give you advice but what about trying to see what the girl you were with 3 years ago - just see what she's doing now or whatever? Or is that totally out of the question?

You guys are both young! I know it is tempting to think that you may have blown your chance at love, but you are both just starting out. If true love were easy to find, it wouldn't be special, would it? Just keep asking the girls out. One will eventually click for you.

Everyone messes up when they are 20. Dating at that age is just practice for the real thing.

I'm okay with that girl from three years ago. We're friends right now, so that's no really the problem.

I guess I'm just at a low point today, hehe.

And yes, true love is hard to find. But I'm not looking for true love. Just someone to fill in the gap, or whatever.
