Asking out on AIM - Love Forum

Does it change your view towards them (no matter the response to it) if someone asked you out either in-person, phone, text message, AIM or email? Obviously as the list goes on, it is easier to cope with being rejected....

Asking someone out straightout is the way that requires the most "guts".... and AIM might just make them think you don't have the balls to ask them out in-person..

Opinions please.

I don't know, homie. If this is someone you know through REAL LIFE then it is better to ask them out in real life. It just seems so "scared" to ask someone out through a keyboard and that could alter their view of you. I know its hard at first but its more rewarding (in learning value and success rate).

I exchanged emails (his incentive) with my first boyfriend, then he invited me to his friend's concert (which he knew I loved!) in his email saying something like "gimme your digits baby." I thought it was a good move as I was a little bit intimidated at first (I was 17 and he was 5 years older, and I thought he was SOO old, lol.)

NO! Asking out over AIM is probably THE gayest thing ever. Even asking out OVER THE PHONE is HORRIBLE!!

Yes, asking out someone online means that your sexual orientation completely changes. You become gay the moment you type it on your screen.

I think it's alright. Of course it feels SO MUCH better to be asked out for real, I mean in person. It's just one of those moments when you get chills down your spine...why miss out on that?

For some of us it's not just a simple spine-chill type of deal, it's more like a stabbing explosion in the front of your brain which takes away vision and all rational thought. Just for some though.

I've got some surprises for Jane when I see her, because yeah, doing everything over the net is lame. But sometimes I guess you have no choice in the matter.

Well, hopefully I'll make her feel good when I see her.

Hahaa!!!! I love you Zekk! Its so true, when its the first time you really ask someone out it can be real tough. But I think its always better to ask someone out in real life. And dazed, I'm speaking from experience.

I like doing it. It's exhilarating for me. Even though Jane and I have that bond, it's still going to be exciting to say everything to her face to face.
