I got really drunk...How do I rectify this situation??

ok here is the situation....

I work with this guy at a bar. A few weeks ago we hung out and kissed. We hung out once after that and we were drinking and he took care of me. Didn't try anything (not even kissing like before). Since then we haven't hung out but have seen each other at work. On friday night he came into work with a guy friend and I told the guy friend I was interested in his friend that I work with. I'm sure the guy told him. Well anyway I went into work the next night (my night off) and visited him and some other people. There was a huge convention in town and people were buying me drinks left and right; needless to say I got so drunk that most of the night was a blackout except for certain things. I NEVER drink that much. (Usually I don't drink at all so please no criticizing me for doing it. I already know I messed up by drinking too much.)

Anyways my friend who works with me there took care of me. She said I fell down a lot and knocked over a table and also got sick at the end of the night while the employees were closing. So a good number of people saw the severity of my drunkeness. She also said I was crying and a lot of people that I work with saw me crying.

Well i think i know why i was crying. At the end of the night i was sitting at a table in the back with the guy who works there that i like and i went to hold his hand and asked if i could lay my head on his shoulder. He said no. Then somehow we got on the topic of me liking him and I remember him telling me that I shouldn't like him. The details are blurry but I'm pretty sure thats why i started to cry. I know even sober what he said would have really hurt my feelings so being drunk I think that escalated the hurt emotions and that is why I cried without thinking of who was around me.

So this guy definitely saw me cry about him and people that we work with now know that I like him.


My question is:

Should i just act like nothing ever happened because this guy definitely had acted like he liked me before and after what he said that night it really hurt my feelings.

Do you think I freaked him out since I cried after what he said?

How do I act around him now that I have to work with him?

I really need some advice. I’ve never gotten drunk to that point especially not at somewhere I work even if it was my night off.

Tell me what I should do.....Thanks in advance for any advice

he probably said no just cause you were actin like a drunk fool. just apologize and try to control your drinking next time.

Yikes- how awful. You'll never erase that from his memory.

IMO, you aren't allowed to drink again without an attendant who will monitor your intake and send your ass home in a cab before you get sloppy like that.

I think it's important to apologize gracefully not only to him, but to everyone, and most importantly, try to identify exactly why you let that happen.
