Break Up's?? - Love Forum

I have a girlfriend who is 15 yrs old, i am 16... She has become VERY attatched and i am wondering what the best way to break it off would be without hurting her too bad.....We have gone out for almost 4 months now...I still love her i am just not IN love with her... whats a good thing to say, do, ect.... plz help me...

Just make clear u don't want anything more then friendship.

Please do not throw around the word "love"... you may still "care" about her or have "feelings" for her though you have decided the relationship isn't going to work, but LOVE is something different; it builds bridges where there are none and if you really did LOVE her you would find a way to make it work.

Now that that's established, just do what my ex did... email me out of the blue... always works wonders.

There is no way to break things off with someone without causing them pain. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it, though. Just try to be kind, but firm. Everyone has this happen to them at some point.

Just be decent. Don't string her along, don't humiliate her. Remember, it's not your job to help her get over you, so just end it and get on with your life.
