Sherlock please?
Okay, so school starts tomorrow for me. I'm excited. However, there's something that has been pondering my mind for quite some time now. Alright, I'm going to be modest, not arrogant. I genuinely think that I don't have below average intelligence for a 16 year old, nor am I a completely ****ed up individual (psychologically).

That being said, I can also establish that I'm at a point where I'm able to examine people and notice their healthiness, or lack thereof.

And I think to myself, where are the healthy people? I mean, I see some of the regulars on these forums that seem decent, but where are they in real life? Is it some huge illusion? Are the people online actually ****ed up in real life too? o.O

I'm sure that just like every year, there are going to be girls interested in me, and I'll probably be attractive as well, but I don't think I want to be with a ****ed up person so that they can get attached and do exactly what I find to be one of the most unhealthy things: monogamy. I am extremely skeptical to the idea that humans are genetically and psychologically wired to be monogamous beings, but of course, I could be wrong.

Vashti, you once said that it is a characteristic of the very young to be attracted to psychologically unhealthy ****nuts; paraphrased, of course.

At what point can I start engaging with psychologically healthy people, so I can do something constructive for myself, instead of destructive?

When you're out of high school and your world gets bigger. Until then, the odds are good, but the goods are odd. (Meaning- you've got a high ratio of ****nuts in high school)

I think the girls who are the MOST psychologically healthy are probably the ones most likely to avoid high school romances. They will be busy with their own lives and are focused on their grades and building a resume for college. They have activities and hobbies they won't be willing to give up for boys, and usually lack great amounts of time to devote to the drama that is high school romance.

The girls to avoid are the polar opposite. They live for their boyfriends and have no identity of their own when they have no boy around. They don't care about school and devote all their time to socializing, particularly with boys.

For the record, I have grown up a lot since I was your age. No one is born as awesome as me, not even me.

I do know lots of very nice girls in your age range, and they are relatively mature, but they aren't grown yet, and they will continue to mature and grow.

By the way, none of them would put up with a boy who wasn't monogomous.

I think I may have explained that part improperly. The part of monogamy that I think is unhealthy is stayed with that person for the rest of your life.

Okay, makes enough sense. Thanks.

That's not monogamy. Monogamy is being with one person at a time. There is such a thing as serial monogamy.
