Friend or More than a friend?
i'll try to make this short.
i have this friend that i met throught my cousin, she is the most beautiful person in the world. she is like a girl version of me, only she's pretty! ha ha. i hardly see her due to school in another city, everytime i see her, we have great conversations and fun times. i get weak in the knees when she's around and start acting like i'm a retard. i can't tell her how much i want her and want to be with her. she intimidates me. my cure for this is to talk to her like she's one of the guys. and my nervousness goes away. my problem is that i can't tell her how i feel when she's around. how do i get to that point of telling her how i feel about her? i'm so lost!

When you ask a person out you don't need to tell him/her how you feel. You tell a person how you feel after you've been going out for a while.

ASK HER OUT. That's all.

Yeah, why the hell would you want to scare her away by telling her how you feel? How old are you? Here's what you should do, don't give her signals that you are that interested in her but flirt a little, be cool around her, GET A #/DATE! If you do end up confessing your too-soon-founded feelings for her it should be weeks into it but I sense those feelings of yours will sabotage it before it gets to that stage.

so you're saying I should pretend i don't have feelings for her when i'm around her? what will this do? will it make her seem like i'm not trying to get at her? she doesn't know i'm nervous around her. i treat her like a buddy whenever i see or talk to her. i've known her for almost 5 years already. the only thing that keeps us away from each other is school like 400 miles apart. during the holidays we see each other and also on breaks. i'm 25 and she's 24.

Ask her out to a movie or something. Just her though. Ask her out as though you would a buddy, don't say that you wanna go to a movie cos your really into her.

Asking her out just her alone should be enough to make her see you in a slightly different light, she should notice that you like her company on a personal level, and that's the initial feelings started already.

If the 'date' goes well DON'T make any moves unless you're SURE the moments right. Just wait for a signal suggesting that she'd like to go out again, and if you get it, wait a few days then ask her out again... if she accepts, well, you're as good as in there...

yup, been there done that. j/k. we hang out together just the two of us. we go eat, we go to the arcades. sometimes we see each other and just sit and talk. she doesnt show signs of not wanting to hang out with me. should i ask her to go see a movie and nothing else? i'm planning on going down south to see her this month for a weekend. my initial plan was to bring my cousin along but now she can't make it. so i'm going to see her by myself. it's either going to be good or bad. oh and ya she lives in Fullerton and I live in Sacramento. that's a ways off. mainly for school.
