I hope I have posted this in the most appropriate forum.

I was wondering, is it possible for two people to be very much in love with each other, and yet never act out on those feelings? For instance, could a man and woman who work side by side fall deeply in love, but never so much as admit their feelings for the other, because say they are both married? Or to truly be in love, does some romantic connection need to be made?
