Old love that never got old

Hi.
Me and this girl had a relationship 2.5 years ago. It started as a
friendship, and after half a year, when she broke with her boyfriend, there was a click, and we started. It was a very intense emotionally, because there were strong feelings from both sides, especially as the old boyfriend asnt out of the picture completely.
So for about half a year me and her had a lot of On's and Off's, and a lot of fights and a lot of frusteration of her old boyfriend which harmed our relationship stability.
One day we had a very big fight. We didnt talk for a month and a half. I really thought that we could use the time off. after that when I came to see her, to patch things up, I found that she is back with her boyffriend, and she wants us to remain friends.
for a half a year we were friends, but we fought like we were still
toughther. and we still had those moments, and times that we almost kissed. I'm sure you all know how its like. The thing that finelly ended it all was a very big fight, bigger then ever, and from that point we stoped talking.
After 8 months we met at a common friend's birthday. we talked a lot and even agreed to regain contact. she was still with her boyfriend and I still loved. this truce didnt last long, but for once it didnt came from me, it came from her getting jealous after seeing me flirting with a girl. I guess she just understood that we can never be just friends.
The case now is that I never stopped thinking about her and loving her. she broke with her boyfriend, and allthough I know that in the current situation the boyfriend is just one obstacle from many, I still want to see if we have a chance. I wrote her an email saying it will be nice to hear from her but she ignored it. I cant call her cause I want it to come from her. I know she still has feelings for me, but she is afraid, like she always been. I need an advice on how can I get her attention. I miss her and allthough we did what we were needed to do to obtain the feeling of completion and "circle closed" it doesnt feel like it is closed. I just want to see how things will turn out if we do meet again.
