A little help needed with talking to total strangers !

Ok, I need some advice or tips or something

I've been dating with one girl since I was 16, now I'm 19, but we kindda broke up because she went to study abroad for 5 years and since I had only one girlfriend and I'm kindda not 16 anymore I have to move on. I don't have a girlfriend now and I'm depressed because I just realised that I don't know how to make a good first impression and I don't know a thing about talking with totally strange girls.

Can you give me advice/tips on how to initiate a conversation with a girl in bar, coffie house, club or anywhere because I really don't have experiance with that. How do you start a conversation and what do you talk about. I know that if the first impression will be positive and everything will be OK two peaople will find something to talk about, but what about the first couple of minutes whet you come up to a total strander and start a coversation ? I would ask advice to m friends, but I don't feel comfortable with that so I'm asking you

I think the best way to start up a conversation is to look a girl directly in the eye, smile, and say hello. You should come up with a few interesting questions to ask a person which encourage dialogue. Either that, or try to find some common interests...

Dude, I'm going through the same thing...you need to take a break, regardless of whether you're over the old relationship or not.

Being single is fun. Enjoy it for a bit.
