where to meet the opposit sex....

i'm just curious what people do.

after highschool i know it's harder to meet people of the opposit sex, unless of course you have a hoard of friends who have friends and well you get the idea.

so where in your opinion is a good place to meet someone?


as a mom i say the grocery store...i've seen some hot guys there! only darn i'm too busy buying my food and getting the hell outta the damn store. i hate shopping!

Well, I'm not all too into trying to meet new people but the grocery sounds like a good one. All I can say is do NOT go to clubs and/or bars to meet a guy. Sure go to have a good time but 98% of clubgoing and bargoing males are complete trash. Of course I'm sure you realize that, it's rather obvious.

i brought this up cause my friend and i were just talking about it.

for me it's tough meeting people in general. i go to a really small school. there are seriously 4 guys. the rest are girls and most of them are older women.

now of course there are loads of guys at my work, but many of them are just plain out rude. or ya try and talk to a cute guy and he totally ignores you. oh well his loss.

Hmmm. This is a tough one. My guy friends go to bars and clubs to meet girls (because statistically, that's where they are easiest to get into bed). I'm in college so I dont have many different places. How about someplace peaceful and serene like a bookstore? Good conversation opportunities (what book you reading?) however cliche it may be. A diner maybe? For morning coffee?

i'm sorry i just had to laugh. my friend said the same thing about meeting some local people. only this city girl now lives in hickville.

there is nothing to do where i live. if i want to get to boston it's an hour ride.

my town is full of farm land, and cranberry bogs, really not much. there is only two streets that contains mcdonalds and pizza joints and the little stores. seriously. i go out and look for people and there is no one! lol!

That is really tough. I'm kind of in a similar situation. Even though I have those oppurtunities to go to those places I don't do it. And I go to a commuter college so if I really wanna meet someone it's ten times harder since there's no campus. However I go to a college downtown so it attracts all kinds of what I call "social champions" because they're such losers. I really wish I knew what to tell ya.

girls do the same thing!!! i've posted about this before and this girl in my class, she is like on my mind 24/7. i say hi to her every so often. she looks my way and smiles when she sees me. i introduce myself and she to me. we exchange phone numbers and stuff. she never calls me. when we're in class she talks to me generally chit chat. but it's like i'm invisible outside of class. hmmm....wait a minute, i haven't called her yet.

back to the subject...

yes it's really hard to meet people of the opposite sex after high school. college doesn't count because most college students see the beginning years of college as an extension of high school and you meet tons of girls!!! the only problem there would be that you are either in the dorm crowd or the commuter crowd. some people go to school and leave campus right after their classes are done. the rest of them live on campus so to meet those people or someone of interest, you have to be where they are at. or just take bullshit classes that you know for sure have a majority of girls in them. that's how i met this chick. k i'm done now.
